Rodney Saunders grew up on a diversified family farm in northeast Missouri raising row crops and livestock before earning a degree in Agronomy and Animal Science from Missouri Western State University. He spent 34 years with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, where he specialized in grazing management, soil health, nutrient management, and regenerative farming practices while working closely with producers across Northwest Missouri. Rodney played a major role in educating farmers on cover crops, livestock integration, and soil health systems that led to the adoption of regenerative practices on tens of thousands of acres. Today, as a consultant with Understanding Ag, he continues helping farmers improve profitability, soil function, and long-term sustainability through practical regenerative agriculture strategies.

Luke Jones is a farmer from west-central Illinois who operates a diversified operation that includes Australian White sheep and row crops, with prior experience in cattle. After earning a degree in agriculture science and spending several years in ag retail sales, he stepped away from the conventional path to return to hands-on farming. Influenced by mentors and regenerative agriculture principles, Luke shifted his focus toward improving land health and sustainability. Today, he is committed to stewarding the land and building a resilient farm for future generations while raising his growing family.
